My blog celebrated its two year anniversary on October 21, 2005! I have really enjoyed using my blog as a method to share photos, recipes and experiences with my family and friends. Traffic from my blog has also increased trememdously since the site's inception, so if you are reading this, thank you! I appreciate your patronage!

On this special occassion, I would also like to thank Shawn without whom there would be no blog. He is always thinking up new features and ideas for our blogs, and he does an amazing job helping me with the format. Thanks, Shawn! :)

I am very pleased to report that since Shawn has created and hosted this blog for me it seems that the number of hits has been consistently increasing. Here are the numbers:

I am trying to purchase any recordings from a band in which my grandfather played in the 1920's called the "Southern Serenaders". I started my quest around this same time last year and have sent numerous faxes, e-mails and even snail mail around the world with no success. However, now with many thanks to Shawn, I can extend my search to the World Wide Web! You will see that he has added a "WANTED" box under the "RECENT ENTRIES", which includes a link to the page, which I created and includes the details of what I am looking for. My goal is to purchase these recordings and give them to my father for Christmas. [Don't worry! The surprise is not ruined. He is not on the Internet yet, and the rest of us can keep a secret. Right?]

Yesterday was an exciting day for me! First, I posted a blog entry for my chair makeover, which received two comments! Second, I made a new banner for my blog. I hope you think it is cool! It is an old picture of me having a ball at JJ's in Jakarta. Third, Shawn upgraded me to Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, and I began work on my first web site! It will be about Winston. Shawn gave me a book called Macromedia Dreamweaver Mx 2004: Hands-On Training by Garo Green and Lynda Weinman. It is easy to read and includes a lot of exercises, but I have been impatient. I wish I knew it all now! Thankfully, Shawn is very patient and has helped me do a few things that are well beyond page 120 of the book! ;P Winston's page will be posted soon! :)
